a truly spectacular lapis stone, delicately hand-carved into a floral motif, with color variations throughout the stone that range from nearly white to midnight blue — it's the blue of lapis, but probably not lapis
this ring is a bit of a mystery to me as it has a fairly primitive construction that makes me think it was a conversion —possibly a repurposed link from a bracelet? or a brooch? I'm not sure, but I love the end result, especially because having the sitting meet the top of the band leaves plenty of room to stack this ring with simple bands. I've priced it slightly lower than similar pieces because of the construction quirks (which aren't visible when worn)
solid 10k yellow gold with a slightly rosy hue, that may shine off with a good cleaning, marked 10k on the band

in good vintage condition
the surface of the lapis is in beautiful condition with no obvious damage to the carving, though some of the edges of the stone aren’t perfectly carved — possible damage? very hard to tell
the ring's construction is on the more primitive side and the setting isn't perfectly level. the prongs hold the stone in place securely, and the prongs were recently tightened by a jeweler so there is no wiggle in the setting
scratches, dents and dings to the surface of the gold consistent with an antique piece of jewelry
